Final Project Announcement!

Hello everyone, I am happy to officially announce my final project!

My demo reel will be a modeling reel to showcase my abilities to efficiently and effectively create 3d geometry. Of course this is what most modeling reels are about, so I will talk about what the reel itself is going to look like, and the story behind it.

Many modeling reels are of interior sets; kitchens, bedrooms, attics, etc. Mine is also along this vein of thought, however with one key difference.
My modeling reel is being done entirely in miniature scale - think movies like Wallace and Gromit, Coraline, or Peter and the Wolf.
I hope this will show to everyone not only my competency in the field of 3d modeling, but also my creativity.

I have some base renders of some of the object I have been working on so far below, please take them as a hint of what's to come!

I hope to impress everyone when I can show the final piece! Thanks!

[VFS] Modeling Turntable - Super Hero

This is my latest project that I took to completion.
The assignment was to model and texture a character (Superhero/villain) of your own design or choice. I took inspiration from a lot of places to come up with the final concept, and I am very happy with the result!!

Final Project Video Finished!

Alright, here is the video that has taken me over two terms at VFS to complete. My final project for Foundations of Visual Art and Design.

This model set has 2,160,235 (That's over 2 million) polygons, and took me over 200 hours to complete.

Over the course of making this, I have grown exponentially as a modeller, texturer, and I have learned many many things about lighting and cameras. I am very happy with the result.

At the moment I do no have access to a computer that is powerful enough to render my video out at it's highest settings, so this video is technically incomplete. Perhaps when I go into the 3D program in a couple weeks I will use those super strong computers to rerender this project to show it in it's true beauty.

Thanks to everyone who supported me on this long and tiring road, and I hope to keep on meeting, or ideally, exceeding you expectations for a long time to come.

Final Project Foundation New Pic

I'm putting in a massive full day today, hoping to finish before Friday this week!
Here is a quick snapshot of a portion of the level (Some bits of it have been featured before).
It's really starting to come together I think!
